Today, the world is NOT the warmest it’s ever been.

Yep. It might feel that way.

But Harvard and Smithsonian astrophysicists reviewed results of more than 200 climate studies and discovered that the real cooker era was the “Medieval Warm Period” of 800 to 1300 A.D.

It was so warm then, vineyards grew abundantly in England. Likewise, the Vikings found Greenland a nice place to set up camp. Presumably with picnic parks and volleyball nets.

But that all changed from 1300 to 1900, otherwise known as the “Little Ice Age”… when life was actually much colder than the winters we know today.

Will it ever swing one way or the other again? Who knows? But the next time someone complains about the weather, you can tell him or her to put a sock in it. Because, just perhaps, we ain’t seen nothing yet.

So basically we should all be out there helping those less fortinuate than ourselves understand the complicated state of our enviroment. (and we know that the best way to help those right wing green hippies see a different point of view over complicated sciences stuff, like global warming, is to encourage their learning with a big stick – possibly with nails in it).
