I have set my self a goal of getting a few this done to the car over the next few weeks (after all everyone needs a hobby!).
This started this week with the making of a wiring loom that will allow me to plug an external MP3 player/laptop into my head unit and switch bewtween that and my cd changer.
Unfortinuatley, that ended this week with me soldering the 2nd to last join in the loom when I accidentally grabbed the wrong end of the soldering iron.
I now have 2 heavily strapped fingers and a rather brused ego. I could have coped with this, however that was only half the story for the week…
You wont believe what I managed to do this morning.
During the windw night, our flat was shaken to bits. A nice candle holder of Sarahs was knocked over.
Anyway, this morning I got up and went to step over the 2nd douvet which we had thrown of the bed. My foot got caught as I stepped over, so being slightly unballanced I pulled it free. It swung forward and straight into the candle holder. Not just any part of the candle holder, but specifically the nice sharp prong which is designed to hold the candle upright.
I have been left with a reasonable gash in the side of my middle toe. Unfortinuatley due to the nature of it, there was just no way that it was going to stop bleeding 🙁 So of we went to afterhours. They had a look at it and gave me a choice – they could either stitch it up which would leave no (or a small) scar but I would have to keep dry, or they could use a ‘human superglue’ which i can get wet but will probably leave a scar on my toe.
Naturally, courisity took over and I opted for the superglue option – and surprisingly, they wern’t kidding. It was just like super glue (The even guy managed to glue two of my toes together which he had to pry apart).
So now I have a very sore and straped foot, and two tender bandaged fingers!!! :-/
