Ok, Updates here we go…

I’ve been a little slack over the last week or so, but an interesting e-mail today might encourage me to change that… but more on that tomorrow as todays update is to bring everyone up to speed.

The reason I have been slack with my updates is that I have been teaching myself PHP. The results of this can be seen with the PXT page (and the ability fact it now has captions!). So I appoligise for the lack of news.

The other reason is that our life has been a bit topsy turvy recently!

The story starts with my oldest brother (Fraser) and his fiance (Vicki) leaving NZ. Their first job when they got back was to sort out Frasers work visa for his new job.

This is when the problems started, and to cut a long story short, Frasers visa will expire in July, meaning that by then he has to be married (Fraser and Vicky cant prove that they have been together 2 years (which would make them in a defacto relationship and consequentally basically married).

As he is engaged, they wont deport him, but he wont be able to work for the 3 months from July-October (when they would be in a defacto). This clearly isn’t an option.

So… their wedding plans for next June have been cancelled, and It has been moved to the 18th of June this year!!!!

Thats right, Sarah and I have 10 weeks to get to the UK!!!

This means we are doing number of things including:

  • Saving every penny…

  • … while buying all the bits we need

  • Walking every night to get the fitness up

  • Planning!

    • We’ll keep you updated on how were getting on!

    Anyway, must go as Sarah’s parents are here for the weekend, so must go! I’ll try and get Sarah to bring you up to speed on what we have been doing!
