Well its been a really long time since we actually “wrote” a diary update so here we go…..

Last weekend we went down to Christchurch for the weekend, now it didn’t start very well. We headed off to the airport at the right time and at this stage things were ok. Once at the airport however, we were running a little late due to traffic but nothing serious. We started to turn into the parking lot and suddenly there was a screech of types sliding on concrete and then a bump and we went flying forward. Yes – someone had managed to rear-end us!!! It was totally his fault and stuipdly if he hadn’t of braked (and then locked up) and just turned the steering wheel he probably wouldn’t have hit us.

So anyway by the time we exchanged information, took photos of the cars etc we were running late of the flight and the other guy was even later for his shift that he was about to start (the reason why he was speeding in the first place).

So we parked, grabbed are gear and raced to the terminal, checked in and found out the everyone else was already checked in so we had the last two seats in the plane, one at the front and the other near the back. However all was not lost as once we boarded we talked to a nice lady who swapped seats with me so I could sit with shane. Now what I felt like at this time was an extremely strong vodka but I had to settle for coffee.

Then 1hr 20 mins later we landed in Christchurch for the FIREWORKS SPECTULAR 2004….

Last year we brought a heap of fireworks that we planned to let off at Xmas last year – however there was a fireban. So instead of waiting and trying again this year we decided to let some off. Now its was a good nite after all the usual “mishaps” with fireworks falling over and shooting towards people and old sparklers not liting the grand finale properly. For those who missed out don’t dispair all is not lost – We still have some of Xmas this year!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I could go on and on but that would get really boring, so I will write more later.
