Ok after saying that it had stopped raining we went to the speedway – however after just 4 races the rain came back. They kept racing however, but by now the track was really wet so the racing slowed down and became very boring – the drivers had a really hard time just staying on the track. However after they put the bigger cars out, the track started to dry up, so it was looking positive – then it rained again. This pattern kept going for about 6 more races and then they decided to skip the remaining 6 races and go straight for the demolition derby. This was pretty cool but the wet track and the amount of cars on the track meant that it took a while before anyone got any real speed up to cause a lot of damage. There seemed to by a rolling traffic jam.
They did however use a digger as a means to clear the track of “dead” quickly. Now I only have two comments on this. 1 – This was a very effective way of clearing the track, after all who was going to argue with a huge big ditch digger. 2 – Did the Porter Hire company realise what their ditch digger was going to be doing that night.?? After all it was on the track in the way of all the demo cars!!!
So that’s all from the speedway. Overall it was ok, but nothing to rave about.
In other news we still haven’t got our car back yet. But at least it has stopped raining.
Oh and it is now 26 Sleeps to go…….
