There are many reasons for not liking Aucklanders….

But today I have a different reason. The biggest problem with Auckland is that for some reason “Auckland” always supports Auckland.

Sure this doesn’t sound that strange, but there are “s around Auckland for a good reason.

Out of all of the people I have met in Auckland, only a handful of them are Aucklanders. But even out of that group that’s from Auckland, they still don’t actually support Auckland.

It appears that no individual actually supports Auckland, but whenever a group of people get together for some reason they feel obliged to support Auckland, even though none of the individuals actually support them.

The case in point is the Sky Tower…

The Rugby season started last night, so the Sky Tower has turned Blue to support the Blues… However on Friday night it was rather clear that there are alot more Wellington supporters in Auckland than there are Blues supporters!

So why isn’t the tower Yellow and Black???

Lets just say the town better be Red and Black tonight or Shane is not going to be a happy camper….
