Ok – I am now typing this for the second time as my original post has disappeared in cyber space (stupid program).

Anyway, on the 1st I went to the EEO (Equal Employment Opportunities) awards dinner. The purpose for the awards is to recognise those companies who place a good emphasis on having good employment policies and practices in place within the organisation.

Now the dinner was a very pleasant experience. We had a table of 10 (mainly the Directors and other important people), we all had heaps of fun, the meal was great and there was free drinks all night. So why was I there, well my work had submitted an entry into the awards, and the winners were only announced on the night, so we had to go along. It was lucky that we did as we won are category!!!!

Now some of you know that I had nightmares about this report (it was like a ream of paper thick). The nightmares were about the photocopy laughing at me and spitting out the paper at me. But luckily they have stopped now!!!!

Anyway – winning this award is a big deal. (I just want you all to know that). So important that Helen Clark was meant to presented the awards, however this was the yell at the pilot day, so she was late.

She did turn up eventually, and we all got to shake her hand and get a group photo, which you can check out on the site of the day.

Anyway, more news soon.
