Well its been an interesting time since my last update.
You may notice that I have stolen the tag line from Firefox as the title for today’s update… so everything in today’s update follows this theme.
Firstly, I would like you to ‘rediscover the web’ by going to this image.
That’s right, we took our good friend Maxwell to our Christmas Party and he spent his night harassing young girls.
In other news, this was taken just before disaster struck. But first of all lets explain a bit more about the situation…
My Xmas party is infamous, in fact you may remember it hitting the news a few years ago when it got in trouble for having strippers and elephants. So anyway, the standard rules are, everyone dresses up to the theme – this years theme was ‘only in America’.
I managed to negotiate an extra ticket for Maxwell, so after rediscovering the web with Googles image search, we decided to go as Indians.
Now it was an amazing party with a number of different rooms/areas.
There were Mexicans at the boarder trying to get in, The Bronx (complete with a burning BMW), a huge Disco room, A big karaoke room playing only songs like New York and American Pie, An Elvis chapel, A trailer park (complete with half a dozen caravans), and the list goes on.
Also amongst the list was the Baywatch Beach, complete with models, sand, deck chairs and a mechanical surfboard!
Naturally it was only a matter of time before I tried the surfboard.
Now I really should have thought about the physics of combining large amounts of Kinetic energy, a surfboard, and Alcohol. However, for some reason I didn’t even stop to consider what may happen.
3 hours later I was rather sober, and sitting in an x ray room, with a very sore thumb.
It turned out it wasn’t broken, just severely sprained. So for the last week I have had my hand strapped – and today for the first time I can touch all of my fingers with my thumb.
Thankfully due to the magic of modern science (i.e. Alcohol) it didn’t hurt too much at the time so did not cut the night early.
Anyway, that’s enough for today, but before I go I should explain why I have used the tag line from Firefox.
I feel rather geeky, but I’m rather excited that a new release of Firefox is out. Check out Version 1.5 here.
