Ok – I know my link has nothing to do with my update but I just want to give a plug for the lifeguards!! Every Monday night Shane and I love watching “Piha Rescue” and can’t get over how dumb people turn when they are put on a beach!! Anyway – these life guards do a great job and deserve some thanks!!!

So back to the update – We had my parents and Nan up here this weekend so had a very busy time doing the family sightseeing and catching up thing. Still managed to watch the rugby (ok so watch is a relative term) and even played numerous card games which was really good.

So – now I would like to touch on the rugby… There is lots of talk about the fact that it shouldn’t have been played – but as far as I can see rugby is a winter sport and therefore may not be played in perfect viewing conditions. As far as I can see if the players and the crowd are not in danger then why should it be moved?? So ok – the quality of the game wasn’t the best and that was a pity as there was definitely potential for a good game!!

Anyway, there is plenty of discussion about it so lets move one – I can’t wait for the long weekend – not sure what we are going to do yet but I am sure we will find something…
