Tonight has been the best night for ages!!! And here’s why:

A couple of days ago Shane got my laptop (Zeus) out of his bag – where he has sat for the last few weeks while we have been without an Internet connect. I believe Shane was going to get a wireless network connected via his phone or something. Anyway Zeus didn’t cooperate with him and refused to network… There were a lot of name calling mainly at Zeus and he was sent back to his bag. Well its funny that today when I got him out and tried to connect to the new sky modem he worked first time.. I think he must just like me more as I’m nice to him. But this brings me to the main point- we have Internet back at home!!!

The other cool thing that happened tonight was that we have just had a huge thunder and lightening storm. I was sitting watching tv and the next thing it got very dark, very quickly and then a torrential down pour started… Then Shane walked in the door – he had been half way across the nearby field when it started. Just as he walked in the sky was lit up and there was a huge crash of thunder. The storm lasted for around 20 minutes and spent most of that time right above us (or at least it seemed that way). Anyway Shane has taken some photo’s – so hopefully we get a couple of good ones that we can post. And yes before anyway comments – we agreed afterwards that hanging a camera out the metal framed window in a rain storm with lightening may not have been the best idea – but the photo’s were worth it (or at least I hope they were)!!!

Anyway – that is about all for tonight – I am busy doing all the online things that I haven’t been able to do as I have been using an Internet cafe and it was reasonably expensive to use surf so planning on making up for it now! But I will update again soon as there is a bit to catch up on.
