Tonight is a reflective blip…
You see, tonight a friend introduced me to the hoax* of John Titor.
It got me wondering…
The short version is it is an internet story of a ‘time traveler’ from 2036 who appeared on discussion boards in 2000/2001.
He gives a view of the future; involving war and mass destruction. This got me thinking.
Why is it we always think the future will be worse than today? Our quality of life has improved unbelievably over time, and that rate of improvement is constantly improving.
Science 101 – the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Based on that the next generations will lead significantly better lives than we even dream about.
Imagine a life with no poverty, no homeless, no disease. Amazingly we are the first generation to every even imagine these things…
And these dreams may become a reality in our life time.
Could our future be rosier than we imagine???
What can we do to make sure it is that way?
