We are just back from a weekend away in Paris…

It was a game of two halves really.

Yesterday we did all the touristy things – those things that are a must do…

And today we avoided them (mostly).

Today was wandering through street markets in the back streets of Paris.

Coffee, gelato and pastries from local shops who spoke no english.

The only touristy thing we did do today was visit Notre Dame – although neither of us were in the mood for the tourist scene…

But I found this man in the crowd. A lot of people were surreptitiously taking photos of him, seemingly no one else had it in them to ask him directly, so they were taking candids from a distance.

With a few broken french words, and a gesture of the camera – he nodded, picked up another bird and gave me a twinkle with his eyes…

I think he liked the attention.

And then it was back off to the back streets in search of duck and crepes.

I’m not sure which day I enjoyed more?

I think they were both just different; special in their own ways.

P.S. Will post Friday and Saturdays shots tomorrow as its past my bedtime now.
