I scavenged a bed for the night

and they made me feel very welcome

despite getting to their place late, and drunk.

A home made song was the key

and of course a guitar.

It’s been in my head for the past 2 days,

but best of all

she picked her own verse for me to use

and it happens to be the one that’s been playing in my mind
