I am officially sick of it being overcast

for the first week,

I was happy with the nice soft light in my photos

but after weeks and weeks

I now miss those things called shadows.

And today, on my way home,

I thought I would get a sunset for the first time in ages

But alas, as I drove east, the cloud back flew west.

We met half way home and I was back in the gloom.

It’s probably fitting for my mood today.

I’ve been in a reflective mood over photography today

spent Tuesday night looking at war photos from James Nachtwey

And today, smithski reminded me of something

something amazing written by a someone special.

And now, I can’t help look at my shots,

and wonder whether they make people think?
