I’m not sure why, but I find photographers to be a defensive bunch

We were out and about, at my brothers wedding venue

(I’ve been asked to sort out some lighting)

and I wandered past a wedding photographers stand…

camera in hand (as always – thanks blip)

I heard:

[i]What’s that? What are [u]you[/u] doing with an L lens?[/i]

I’m sure it didn’t mean to be as accusing as it sounded

and talking to him he seemed nice enough

but it became clear time and time again

he didn’t really think I could be a real photographer

[i]just some kid with some show off kit[/i]

I wandered off… not worth fighting it…

so I headed outside to pick up this

a better use of my time all round.

Why are some professionals so untrusting?

Why do they find it so hard to believe some of us just have a hobby?

And, most amazingly that we like it that way?
