it happens occasionally, my brain just goes blank. I look at my shot for the day and I don’t know why I took it

I just happened to look up, and out through the window was a rather utilitarian looking pub

the garish blue Maidens sign gave it that special sort of feel that is only matched by a blue lit underpass in the moments before a big lad in a hoodie jumps out and takes your ipod

Speed cameras line the street to slow down the 1.2L citeron saxos that roll past.

There was a group of girls hanging around waiting for a ride. They watched me walk out the door with the camera in hand. They giggled as I took a shot of their local

The boys in the car park behind me looked to serious to giggle. A stranger taking photos of the pub they will one day be old enough to drink in. An expensive camera in hand… an interesting sequence of events apparently.

But despite it all I could see straight though the noise… I knew this was blipable

I’m not sure what the image says, but my eyes were drawn to it. A shot taken from the heart. A reaction shot.

And then I decided it was time to move on again…
