It arrived today, straight onto the camera bag. My shiny new sign to the world that I am a proud supporter of blip.
It actually makes me feel slightly warm and fuzzy to think that in some small way my contribution may have helped Blip grow and encourage a new generation of blippers.
When I started I never expected to be so involved. The surprise isn’t just that I’m at 567 without missing a day (I thought I might hit 50ish if lucky!), but more how connected I feel, and that I follow the daily lives of so many others on a dialy basis.
It’s the discussions and shared purpose/friendship.
It’s all those special moments, those hard moments, those surprises and the mundane. It’s about sharing them with other like minded people, and sharing in others moments.
It’s great looking back a year and laugh at me fondling an old man (see 1 year ago). It’s just an extra smile for each day.
It’s about knowing that so many people read my blips everyday to see what we have been doing and how we both are.
It’s about knowing when Cousteau has hurt his foot, or when Joe has been out late and is driven home again, drunk.
This place really is more addictive than I ever thought possible… and it’s made possible by everyone of you. I’m proud to say I’m a part of this place, and happy to do my little bit to keep it going.
Oh, and of course special thanks must go out to Joe and all the crew at BlipCentral. Thanks guys!
