I always wonder what muscions are thinking while playing. I think it’s pretty safe to assume ‘penguins’…

Let me explain

The best proxy I have to music, given my my father kindly passed on thier genes with a f-flat where a B should be, is my camera…

When I started shooting, I used to concentrate on exactly what I was doing, exposure, compoosition, iso, aperature, focus, golden rations, rules of 1/3rds, DoF, shutter speed and exposure… (and back then I shot in auto).

These days I just do it all on auto pilot, all on manual…

And the brain does it’s own wondering

While taking this one, I found myself wondering if he would look best in colour or black and white…

I quickly decided i needed a benchmark to compare black and white portraits against… and a penguin seemed to be the obvious choice

The high contrast of a penguin would be pretty striking in black and white.

And suddenll I realised if I was thinking of Penguins then the muscions probably would be as well!

Definately penguins 😉
