I have a candle – I have had it for a while now,

I light it each night and it has slowly been disappearing,

Giving off that self contained glow – that only candles can,

But now I see – it had a plan,

To show the world it was more than a little glow,

You see – deep inside – there was a secret

And all it needed was a little gap,

For that cheeky little flicker

to get its smile out…
