I sat there looking at my big mistake
It was an honest one
but regardless, I now had a dilemma on my hands
One of the things I am firmly against is unsustainable fishing techniques
Long line antarctic fishing, trawlers, over fishing and marine sanctuaries
We have hundreds and thousands of national parks, but very few marine sanctuaries
It’s just plain wrong…
So tonight my Japanese turned up
A caterpillar log of eel and avocado – fine by me
fried farmed oysters – yum
and the prawns…
well,
they were fine
but the fish eggs they were rolled in… I’m not nearly so impressed with.
I didn’t realise what I was ordering
but too late now, the mistake ad been made
and so, there I sat, wondering if I eat them or not?
If I eat them am I doing more harm?
Or has the damage already been done now the dish was on the table?
And to think how happy I was with myself that I managed to avoid the tuna while ordering…
