For the past 6 months we have had new bins for our rubbish collection – it is a brilliant system 🙂

The green is for compostable waste.

The yellow is for recyclable materials.

The red is for rubbish, which goes to the landfill.

The green bin is collected every week.

The yellow bin is collected fortnightly.

The red bin is also collected fortnightly, but on alternate weeks to the yellow bin.

Complicated?

Highly technical?

Not really!!!

But every week, in virtually every street, at least one dummy puts the wrong colour bin on the kerb for collection. No!! I mean non-collection …….

………….. and we think mankind is the most intelligent species on this planet??
