Nothing. Zilch. Silence. Dead!!

Can’t be battery, car only 18 months old …. had radio on while packing – only 10 minutes, 15 at most, can’t be battery.

Red light flashing, check manual, says ‘check engine’, good idea.

It’s still there!!

Where’s battery? Not under bonnet, must be in boot, bikes off, open boot ……. oops!

No power, nowhere for key.

Ring garage, ring AA, man arrives – radio won’t kill battery …. puzzle, puzzle, puzzle??

AA man opens boot, starts car, checks car, must be a problem …. uh oh – lights on auto, keys in ignition, dark in garage, lights on, flat battery!! Damn car is too smart for it’s own good!!

Relock house, reload bikes, into car and away.

Finally arrive in Paradise 🙂
