one world. one family

two blippers. two balloons

Today I celebrate 100 continuous blips. YAY 🙂

I have learnt a lot about my camera and about taking photos, and have enjoyed exploring new places and trying new ideas. Occasionally I create an image I am proud to display – but for me, it is more important to enjoy the journey, than be totally focussed on the destination of creating a perfect image.

Thank you Joe and your team for creating this site, so we can share our journals and learn so much from each other. And thanks to all of you who have looked at my blip, and commented and encouraged me over the past 100 days.

Today I also celebrate watching blip for 730 days – every morning for the past 2 years gd and I have looked at blipfoto to view many blips, but to see one in particular by a creative young man who shares his day to day life in England with his family in NZ.

Thanks again Blip Central for this fantastic site which helps keep our family in touch, even though we are 12,000 miles apart. And thank you to everyone who shares their creative ideas and images on blipfoto.

As parents we teach our children to reach their goals, to be good citizens and to follow their dreams.

Then one day we realise that our children have taught us more than we ever imagined, and are encouraging us to explore paths that we didn’t even know existed.

Thank you S2 for sharing ‘another day abroad’ every day for 730 days, and for encouraging me to take this path; and thank you S1 for your patience, and for the fantastic portraits that you help create to share with us.

And now I get my first red balloon …….. yippeeee 🙂
