First full day in Wanaka so used the bikes at our timeshare to bike to the waterfall and into town for a coffee. Then walked the millenium walkway around the edge of the lake.

We were trying to work out where north was so, after many theories, gd decided to download a compass on his ipod. Very clever – but he could only get pictures of compasses …….. maybe there is a flaw in that idea as a compass needs a magnet – which perhaps is not downloadable!! Even this guy was fooled, eventhough he works in Antarctica and knew all about finding a directon.
