We have two Pheonix palms in our front yard but they have grown so much they are starting to block part of our view and our light, and also overhang steps to our deck so can be dangerous as the fronds are at eye level and very sharp and poisonous.

Oops – that should have been in past tense as the lower image was taken this morning and the top one this afternoon. Now more of our house can be seen from the driveway, and more of the city can be seen from our lounge.

Will miss them as I liked the way they swayed in a wind, and they have been in the foreground for some of my winter sunset blips …..but now I can see more of the mountains which can be stunning when they get their winter coat, so that’s not all bad 🙂
