Something very different for me today – in the style of [url=http://www.blipfoto.com/hpx]hpx[/url] who I met this afternoon. We spent time sitting in the square watching the world go by…………… an impromptu soccer game, skateboards, bikes and scooters whizzing by, a hen party group dressed as pink fairies, and this group of young Maoris.

They wandered over to the seats beside us and starting taking off coats and jackets to reveal their native costumes underneath, then performed hakas and poi dances to the delight of the crowd who gathered to watch.

I am resting my hands as much as possible so only took our very little point & shoot but tried some overexposed shots for a change. Quite like this one 🙂

Now gd and I are off to meet friends at a French cafe in Ferrymead – a multicultural day!
