The underground gods have been harsh on Christchurch, but the weather gods have been very kind.

The past three days have been warm and sunny which is a huge help in the clean up process. Forecast storms have not yet arrived, but I fear they are getting closer – hope they are not too severe.

I wanted to blip something spring-like today as it has been a glorious day which helps us forget we are in a state of emergency ……. until suddenly we get another sharp jolt. Fortunately these are becoming shorter, less frequent and less severe.

gd went biking today and saw this fence which had ever so gently toppled off its foundations but is still intact (more or less). Looks as though a few strong men could rearrange it a little, cement it back together, then lift it up and pop it back into place.
