I went into the city today for a couple of quick messages. I have been able to keep clear of much of damaged areas until now, but had to go to some of the streets which have been affected.

The city is gradually becoming what will be ‘normal’ for a long time I think. The newer city buildings are ok, but many streets are partially blocked by rubble which fell from the older brick buildings.

it is tricky driving about, and when I eventually reached my destination the business had moved to another site – although their building still has a frontage and an undisturbed display window – unlike this one a short distance along the road!!
