Underground tunnels left over from the war

almost forgotten feeling

I found it interesting,

forgotten, not hated.

I’m sure the soldiers in the region

knew a good thing when they saw it

island beaches, better than the Russian front

Our entire trip gave a certain feeling

They wouldn’t want to upset the balance

they followed orders

but appear to have done as little damage as possible

almost living among the locals

no one wanted to upset the balance.

It’s become part of the history

as opposed to other places we have been

where war destroyed the history.
