It was an interesting car day.

I was nervous.

I’ve had a squeal in a wheel.

for a week and a half.

It’s been driving me daft!

I’ve had the wheels off

and checked all the brakes

No sign of a problem

So in she went

based on what I was hearing

I thought it was a bearing

90min later

out it came, squeal all gone

but the staff none the wiser

They adjusted and cleaned out the brakes

couldn’t see anything wrong

put it back together

and the squeal was gone!

Having a broken car is an awful feeling

So it was a good start to the day for my four wheels

And then

on the news

the M4 was closed

2 hour delays

between me and home.

But with a nice fixed car

I was not to be deterred

So I took it as an excuse

to head 10 mile out of my way

on a tour of the back roads

Zipping though the country

sure beats my morning commute

the open road

cool air and warm sticky tyres

and an hour later

I was home

Not much longer than it normally takes me

and with that

we were back to a good car day.
