Almost 4 years ago we moved around the world

I’ll never forget flying over the ice covered expanse of Greenland at sunrise

unsure of the new world that lay ahead

4 years on,

we haven’t been back to ‘home’ yet

Part of me thinks how amazing technology is.

3 1/2 years of daily blips

Instant messaging

phones, email and websites

It’s all softened the blow of moving around the world

Another part of me thinks technology is changing expectations unbelievably fast

S1’s father left the UK when he was a teenager

a round the world boat trip

and it took him almost 50 years to visit again.

I find it oddly incredible these days that 4 years feels far to long to visit ‘home’.

Oh, and none of this has anything to do with the picture. It’s just Horses always remind me of our families back home.
