We had an unexpected trip to Arrowtown yesterday to farewell a very brave young man who has been battling MS for many years, and to give our support to his wife and two young children. Very sad, but he was such a hugely positive person that we feel we have learnt a lot from his attitude and the way he approached adversity without ever complaining.
It was a long drive but the glorious weather and the stunning skies and scenery made our journey much easier. We stopped at Mt John Observatory for lunch on our way home today and felt as though we were perched on top of the world. It was blowing a gale, and difficult to stay upright, but I did manage a couple of photos without falling over.
Off to bed now as a very busy day tomorrow.
