I was asked to attend a meeting with some senior Japanese counterparts today.
It was one of those moments where I suddenly felt very junior again for no reason.
But, it did make me realise something amazing about my job,
I was sitting in a restaurant having lunch with three others
Around the table, two Japanese, and Italian and myself, a kiwi, meeting in London together.
The amazing thing, it seemed completely normal.
It’s not that many years ago that S1s father left for NZ on a boat. Weeks sailing to reach their new land in a new home.
And now, one generation on, it’s just business as usual to make the trip for a 4 day visit.
The pace of change is accelerating… I wonder what the norm will be for the next generation in another 30 years?
