A record shot tonight of the first stages of the Hotel Grand Chancellor demolition.

Went into Cashel Mall today and was surprised to see the top had gone from this hotel – it was there 2 days ago!!

Took this just to have a record of the significant changes that will happen over the next few months to this tall building, which has been a major part of our cityscape – one floor per week (I think) is the estimated rate of demolition.

I will miss this building as it’s very distinctive roof could easily been seen from our home.
