……. at least that was the plan until the morning dawned with fog so thick we couldn’t see the trees in our garden.

No planes in the morning ………….. or in the early afternoon!!

We had to be ready to go in case there was a clearance, so spent quite a time waiting and watching the mist hover over the harbour and the hills.

It is only a 15 minute flight from Invercargill and fortunately the mist cleared on the hilltop so the planes could get in and out. Very quick turnaround is case the clearance didn’t last ………. but with a 8 seater it doesn’t take long to load 🙂
