So much for my enthusiasm about our warm weekend – today was cold and miserable, and very wet during the night. Just as well really as I needed to spend the day in the office, and I am easily distracted if the sun is shining.

Mollyanme went for a walk in Hagley Park early evening and the sun briefly glimpsed through the cloud to catch the leaves and accentuate the shape of this trunk.

We had a few wet cool days when we were in Northland, but it was infinitely better than the weather there now as heavy rain is hammering the area causing flooding and road closures. Mother nature does seems to enjoy playing havoc throughout the world these days.
