Day 4
This morning I had a panic call at work. One of those moments where it looks like there is no solution…
Thankfully, 15 min later we had broken the situation down to parts and had a plan. 2 hours later she was back on track.
But that’s not my positive experience for the day. What made it special was the note of thanks I received tonight. A few minutes out of someone’s day to say thank you has really made my day feel like a success.
Today I’m grateful for:
– tonight we had lamb cutlets to cook. They are one of my absolute favourite foods and it made me feel special.
– it rained last night for the first time in ages… I love spring rain, and so does my new grass seed lawn.
– my wonderful organised wife and her planning. She has preparations for bubs well underway and has even tracked a fully detailed budget to keep me happy – current set up forecast is £1600 all up… Excluding the baby buggy (which was a gift) and the mummy buggy (as an mx-5 wasn’t baby friendly). That’s a lot less than I expected!
P.s. this image relates to the last point. She has even managed to find a copy of my 2 favourite (but very obscure) childhood books!
