And in the morning

We will remember them

The 19th battalion memorial park at Victoria Park is always a peaceful place, especially in the glow of the setting sun, and is a poignant place on Anzac Day with personal tributes resting on the memorial.

Four stands of appropriate trees are planted there to represent the countries where the 19th battalion served – Atlantic cedars from North Africa, Spanish Firs from Mediterranean coastal areas. Olives from Greece, Crete and Italy, and black pines of Central and Southern Europe.
