Tonight S1 and I did a fascinating experiment.

With our little man asleep beside us, we looked at the features he has.

It’s a bit of a lottery as he still has the generic baby features (grey-blue eyes and chubby cheeks) but we took a best guess for each item.

This is the result.

The most interesting part of the experiment:

* try viewing it in large

* cover one of the pictures of us with your hand

* you’ll see how much he may look like the other one of us.

In 20ish years we can look back on this effort and see how close we got.

The logic, for our future reference:

S2 Features:

* Hair – as hes a boy

* Mouth – based on a hereditary tongue tie

* Eyes – based on the shape we can see today

* Forehead – it’s a guess

S1 Features:

* Facial shape – based on how much like S1 he looks

* Nose – because that one is obvious

* Cheeks – as it compliments the nose lines

* Eyebrows – as he has two at the moment

* He should have S1’s ears, but her long hair hides those so we used mine.
