Feeling better after a few rough days, so we made a snap call to head north for a night.
We had a hotel booked half way back for our Scotland plans, so we made a call to go for it anyway.
A quick look on a map and we spotted a Unesco world heritage site on the way so off we went to the Derent Valley Mills for the day.
A cracking day out. Lernt a lot and found it fascinating.
Here we are at the first water powered cotton factory in the world, and then inthe basement at the worlds 2nd oldest fireproof building.
