Popped down to [url=http://thecolombo.co.nz/]The Colombo[/url] yesterday to buy some vegetables, and found that the [url=http://www.artfilms.co.nz/]Academy Cinema[/url] had opened. So a quick call to friends to see if they would join us in a trip to the movies to welcome back our favourite cinema which was in the Arts Centre pre-earthquake. There are 3 small cinemas – we went to the biggest theatre (65 seats) to see Hyde Park on Hudson and enjoyed it – a bit of history, a bit of romance, and a bit of humour 🙂

Then home for an easy dinner – I cooked a boned leg of lamb in the slow cooker. Spread a mix of honey, dijon mustard and fresh picked rosemary over the leg and placed it on top of a layer of chunky cut carrots in the slow cooker for 8 hours. Deliciously tender and moist – served with potatoes, pumpkin, peas and fresh made mint sauce.We had originally planned to go to a local cafe for pizza, but this was a much scrummier option 🙂
