Our lensbaby group meet this morning for coffee and chat, and then a wander around to take some photos. I always enjoy our monthly catch up, but it was cold and bleak in the city this morning so I didn’t stay long to take photos.
The bleakness came from of the grey clouds and the cold wind, but mainly because there is very little left in this area. The red zone has been reduced so more streets have opened up, but there are almost no buildings left in those streets.
These are a few pics I took in Hereford St just south of the square. It used to be a busy bustling corner in the heart of our city, but now is desolate and dreary, and demolition of these building has been delayed because of asbestos contamination.
Don’t think I’ll return to this area until there are some positive signs of new buildings going up.
