A day at the sewing machine …….. the first time for many years that I have sewn clothes for myself.

Lack of practice showed as I did sew a couple of pieces together back to front, or upside down. And I did choose a very light, soft fabric which is always tricky. And the pattern I had wasn’t quite right so I changed it. Then the final result lacked something, so a bit of braid and a couple of pockets finished it well.

That all used to be easy but had me thinking a bit today.

But now I have a nice bright new tunic to wear, and I enjoyed the challenge and satisfaction of creating something from scratch 🙂
