A cool dampish day but we set off for the hinterland to spend the day exploring Tambourine Mountains and O’Reillys rainforest. An interesting area which was farmed for a short time before becoming a national park when the owner, Bernard O’Reilly, became a pioneer of Australian tourism. At the end of a long, steep, winding road there is a camping ground, a resort hotel, walking tracks and masses of parakeets ready to eat the food the tourists offer to them.
But on the way up we stopped at an Alpaca farm, and hand fed these gorgeous animals, so this is my photo pic for today 🙂
