A few weeks ago I was talking to someone about the iconic polaroids.
It sparked some curiosity, especially when I looked into how far along with re-inventing the instant film the impossible project has come since I last looked.
So, a few bids on ebay to the tune of a bank breaking £6, and some film, meant today was a big day.
My first polaroid!
CJ, my beautiful wife and a summer ice cream under a tree, exactly the moments a polaroid was designed for.

The challenge was unique: £2 a photo, only 8 photos in a pack and a camera I wasn’t even sure worked. What all this meant is I thought about the shot a lot more than digital has taught me to, I took my time and snapped the single shot.
The 30min waiting for it to develop on the paper was excruciatingly difficult, I so wanted to see if it had worked.
All in all, I’m pretty happy with the first shot. I’ve since disabled the flash to stop the blow out it caused, but it’s definitely a shot for the fridge.
I have a project in mind for the remaining 7 shots so watch this space.
