It was until our window cracked the morning we went on holiday!!

Now it will be taped until ?????????????

Who knows when – but it makes it fairly obvious that our house has twisted and is under a lot of stress.

The builders came yesterday to do a Scope of Works (our 5th)

BUT – they didn’t have the (2nd) Structural Engineers Report

So away they went to find all the papers

And will come back again, one day

For about the 12th inspection of our house damage.

I wonder if the final result will be exactly the same as what we were told in May 2011 …………… when our Insurance company were ready to start repairs but had to wait for EQC approval.

It was reassuring though that they were not prepared to plan any work without having all the necessary information on hand.

And they were enthusiastic that they have a challenge ahead of them, and were intrigued by the movement and cracking in the house.

Hopefully this time we won’t be told that the gaps and cracks just need filled and painted, and that the floors aren’t really shaking when we walk on them, and that the house doesn’t shudder when the wind blows!!

Time will tell, but I’m not expecting that to be any time soon.
