A dull day ………….. but this little orchid is very bright.

So bright it was overpowering in my photos …… so has become shades of grey.

I bought a few orchids last year and followed the instructions on feeding and caring for them, but this is the only one showing signs of flowers this year.

After it finished flowering last year I just put the pot out in the garden in a shady spot and ignored it. Now it is full of blooms again so I have brought it back inside to sit on the kitchen bench.

Maybe I should have completely ignored the others as well, and just put them out under the trees for the winter..
