We had an old friend come to visit today,

I’m not sure when or how it happened, but we have friends spread across the four corners of the globe.

Last night this amazing lady popped in to stay for a night from Bangkok.

I worked with her 7 or 8 years ago. She headed off, leaving corporate life, to change the world.

I was so happy to see her go. She is more passionate about changing the wrongs of the world than anyone else that I know. She’s made such a difference to so many in her life already, and she’s still doing that today.

She certainly brought a smile to our weekend.

It was a relaxed day at home, odd jobs of daily life and moving home. She happily pottered along beside us. The day was just about catching up with the people side of life.

CJ took a shine to her. He even wanted to sit with her when we put his favourite cartoon on (so we could eat lunch).

It was heart warming to watch our son warm to one of our old friends, and vice versa.

I don’t know when or where we’ll see her again. I know someday we’ll cross paths again though, and we’ll pick up where we left off again. Great friends are like that.
