We used to watch this as a family on weekend TV.

That was back in the days of a giant TV with only 4 buttons on it. Big clicky buttons to change channel. 2 of them didn’t do anything.

When I say the family, it was the whole family. Right down to Piklet the cat.

She would sit on top of the nice warm TV and lean over the top trying to push the sheep into the pen.

It was hilarious to watch. Proper country TV with the added fun of a very determined cat.

It all came flooding back to me tonight while flicking channels past some obscure local BBC channel. 25 years on, half a world away, and the show hasn’t changed a bit.
