The Art Centre spire has been sitting on the footpath beside our beautiful heritage buildings for almost 3 years. It was taken down after the quakes for safety and while the restoration is underway. That will take another 5 years or more, so I guess this is a semi- permanent temporary home for the spire.

It looks like a giant road cone, so maybe it should become the new symbol of Christchurch!!
